Taylor Langford
Ask anyone that has known Taylor Langford during his 18 years in
Uvalde, Texas, and you would most likely be told of Taylor’s
love for music and the satisfaction he gets from entertaining others.
Taylor has been blessed with the ability to capture the attention
of any crowd, while comfortably and confidently sharing his musical
talent.
Taylor is doubly blessed with stage presence beyond his years.
As a two year old, Taylor could definitely be heard singing church
hymns loudly during services. After “wearing out” several
toy guitars and having his 3rd birthday request “his very
own mic” fulfilled, Taylor’s desire to entertain seemed
unstoppable.
At the age of six, Taylor received his first “real”
guitar. He soon began guitar instruction which lasted only a few
months. Ever since, Taylor’s musical talent has been acquired
through his ability to play by ear. Taylor’s musical talent
is not limited to the guitar; he continues to explore various instruments.
Taylor proceeded to play the bass guitar, drums, banjo, mandolin,
dobro and the keyboard. In elementary school, Taylor could be found,
during recess, in the music room receiving encouragement and praise
from a few of the musically talented school staff members.
Taylor’s musical ability has always been above that of his
peers. His accelerated musical ability most often found him being
accompanied by adult entertainers. Taylor was always eager and willing
to entertain as a youngster, inspiring many other young people to
develop an interest in music. Taylor’s stage presence will
capture the attention of any crowd. He loves to share his musical
talent and does so every opportunity he receives.
Taylor’s musical talent is enhanced by his outgoing personality.
He has maturity beyond his years, as well as the knowledge needed
for organizing any event. Taylor is a very organized young man,
paying attention to every detail. Taylor has the full support of
his family, which includes his proud parents, H. T. and Julie Langford,
as well as younger brothers Lawton and Nolan.
Taylor is very capable of producing his own performances when called
upon to do so. Taylor is very responsible and is known as an entertainer
that will fulfill his promises. He is often called on to produce
various performances, even theatre performances, due to his vast
understanding of the technicalities involved. Recently, he was asked
to serve as sound technician for a Radney Foster concert in Uvalde.
Taylor receives numerous calls to perform in Uvalde and the surrounding
area. He also designs logos and advertising layouts. Taylor exudes
maturity and responsibility well beyond his 18 years.
Although Taylor is only 18 years old, he has been fortunate to
have many opportunities to showcase his musical talent. He recently
opened for John Arthur Martinez (Nashville Star finalist runner-up)
at the Uvalde Opera House. He has had the opportunity to share his
music with artists such as Sonny Throckmorton and Johnny Rodriquez.
Taylor has been blessed by some memorable learning opportunities,
playing rhythm and singing back up vocals for Prentiss Varnon (Nashville
Star contestant), Chris Story and the Southern Edge, as well as
Jim Raby.
Taylor has performed at many venues and events including Uvalde’s
Grand Opera House, Uvalde High School auditorium for the 9-11 Memorial.
